Destination 2040 – Access to Plan & Comments Due August 23, 2019

Destination 2040 allocates funding for major infrastructure projects and guides the Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization’s (MPO) capital investment programs and studies.
After identifying needs, revisiting the vision and goals, and agreeing on a recommended mix of investments, the MPO board voted to release a draft of Destination 2040 for a 30-day public review period. The MPO will accept comments on Destination 2040 until August 23, 2019.
The new plan consists of two documents: the Needs Assessment, which analyzes the transportation needs of the region, and the draft plan (pdf) (html), which recommends programs and projects to meet those needs.
