North Shore Technology Coalition

Who we are

The Technology Coalition of the North Shore is comprised of the North Shore Technology Council (NSTC), North Shore Innoventures (NSIV), North Shore Workforce Investment Board (WIB), North Shore Alliance for Economic Development (Alliance) and the Enterprise Center at Salem State University (Enterprise Center).

What we do

The Coalition spotlights, strengthens and grows the technology cluster and resources to support technology companies and jobs on the North Shore. This is accomplished by providing complementary resources to support start up and growing technology companies through coordinated and collaborative planning, programming, talent pipeline development, regional branding, business recruitment and advocacy for technology on the North Shore.

Why we formed

The NSTC and the Enterprise Center met during the summer 2016 to discuss ways to increase collaboration. The NSTC’s community of technology professionals and businesses that network and share ideas complements the Enterprise Center that serves as a resource hub and connector for North Shore businesses. In addition, the partnership between the Enterprise Center and Alliance is a good example of joint initiatives benefiting the region. The goals of creating awareness of and supporting the region’s technology companies and jobs was mutual. The WIB, NSIV and Alliance agreed to join this effort to service and showcase the region’s strong and active technology sector. It is a good fit as the Alliance focuses on regional economic development and cluster development Together, these partners formed the Technology Coalition of the North Shore**. **
