Visitors may participate in free, hands-on art-making workshops in the Hardie Building at 23 Essex St. at 10 a.m. Workshops will be held in printmaking, art history, animation, collage, creative writing, illustration and more. Registration will be held just prior to the start of the workshops. Concurrent workshops will run until noon. Participants may take up to two.
At noon, visitors are welcome to explore downtown Beverly and have lunch, or view the exhibitions in 23 Essex St., 301 Cabot St. and 248 Cabot St. lower level. Student ambassadors will be on hand to discuss the work and direct visitors. Student groups will also be playing music, offering poetry readings, and promoting their clubs and activities.
An awards ceremony for Montserrat students will be held at 2:30 pm in the lower level of 248 Cabot Street. Scholarship awards are presented by faculty in several artistic categories. Following the awards, the exhibition will remain open until 5 pm.
