Apply for the Municipal Digital Equity Planning Program!
Applications are now open for the Massachusetts Broadband Institute’s Municipal Digital Equity Planning Program. Through this program municipalities will be able to work with planning consultants pre-qualified by MBI (including MAPC) to produce a full Digital Equity Plan or undergo a smaller Charette workshop, both fully funded by MBI. These plans and workshops are designed to guide municipal decision-making and investments that will increase access, adoption, and usage of the internet for the populations most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as prepare municipalities to submit grant proposals to existing or forthcoming state or federal programs to support digital equity activities.
MAPC has already produced a Digital Equity Plan for the cities of Chelsea, Everett, and Revere which is available on our website, alongside more information about the MBI Digital Equity Planning program.
