Hi All:
As you may know, on April 11th the State Senate will be holding its Commonwealth Conversations tour on the North Shore. We will be hosting events throughout the region to bring area specific and broader issues to the attention of Senators across the state.
Opportunities like this allow residents to advocate for the interests of the North Shore directly to Senators who may otherwise seldom get the chance to visit. Commonwealth Conversations also will play a crucial role in helping to shape the Senate agenda for this and future legislative sessions. It is for this reason, I would like to invite you to participate in two events taking place throughout the day.
The first opportunity is a roundtable discussion on transportation issues facilitated by the BARR Foundation at the Lynn Museum located at 590 Washington Street in Lynn starting at 12pm. This session will help the Senate work toward developing a comprehensive vision for sustainable transportation initiatives across the Commonwealth. Your input is critical as part of these discussions. It will play a direct role in defining future focus and progress in the area of transportation.
At the end of the day, I’m looking forward to hosting a town hall meeting at Higgins Memorial Middle School in Peabody starting at 6:30pm.
Please attend both these events, take advantage of this unique opportunity and share your voice on the many issues facing our region and the Commonwealth. Let’s show Senators throughout the state that residents of the 2nd Essex District in Beverly, Danvers, Peabody, Salem and Topsfield are passionate, educated, thoughtful and civic-minded. We look forward to seeing you!
