Joe Mellor, CEO of SeqWell will be speaking at the North Shore Technology Council’s First Friday on June 7th as part of the Year of Genomics campaign.
The genomics market is projected to nearly double in size within the next five years to over US$35 billion. This growth will be driven by the adoption of DNA sequencing in an expanding array of applications. While few people question the anticipated impacts of genomics — advancements significantly drive a better understanding of diseases and their underlying mechanisms, precision-based therapies, food biotechnology and crop genetics, to name a few — the true potential has yet to be realized due to a need for tools that are upstream and downstream of DNA sequencing instruments.
