Peabody Cultural Council Seeks Funding Proposals for 2023

The Peabody Cultural Council (PCC) will be accepting applications for FY23 funding starting September 1, 2022, with a deadline of October 17th. Organizations, schools, and individuals are invited to apply for grants that support cultural activities in the community. These grants can support a variety of artistic projects and activities in Peabody- including exhibits, classes, festivals, field trips, short-term artist residencies, performances in schools, workshops, and lectures.

The Peabody Cultural Council is part of a network of 329 Local Cultural Councils serving all 351 cities and towns in the Commonwealth. The LCC Program is the largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation, supporting thousands of community-based projects in the arts, sciences, and humanities every year. The state legislature provides an annual appropriation to the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, which then allocates funds to each community.

Mass Cultural Council is using an online application system, called SmartSimple. Applicants can simply log in, set up an account, and submit their application. Applicants are encouraged to refer to the Mass Cultural Council Website to learn more about the MCC LCC Program Guidelines, the Local Cultural Council Priorities, or to sign up to attend an information session on the new system before submitting.
