Take the fear and dread out of budgets and financials! In this workshop we will drill down into the essentials of budget development so your organization can effectively fundraise, reach mission goals, and plan for the future. We’ll go over how to read financial statements and strategies for aligning your accounting practices and budget development for effective financial management and forecasting. You will learn how to develop realistic annual and program budgets for your internal planning, and how to tweak these budgets so they are ready to submit with your grant applications. In addition to demystifying some common accounting terms, we’ll touch on a few financial nuances that are specific to the nonprofit realm. Information will be delivered in jargon-free plain talk, so if you are a normal human who doesn’t live and breathe spreadsheets and budgets, then this workshop is for you! There will be plenty of opportunities for Q & A, and downloadable templates and resources will be included. Join us!

Speaker: Lara Lepionka

This informative workshop is offered at no cost and is being sponsored in partnership with the North Shore Alliance for Economic Development and the Massachusetts Office of Business Development (MOBD).
